    opinions on Pro-Boat-Ragazza and Westward 18?

    Pro boat Ragaaza and Westward 18; I am looking at these boats. Any opinions?
    I have a nice pond to sail in . It is deep enough and probably 100' x 200' or more. There is almost always some wind. Typically 5 to 10 mph, sometimes more. Thanks; Don

    Hi Don;

    I love my Ragazza, but I have heard the Westward is also a very nice boat. I wanted something close to one meter though hence my choice. I am a newbie at sailing though and I don't race sail, so take my opinion for what it's worth. I would check out the sailing section over at RCGroups for some information on both boats as it's much more active for sailing enthusiasts. Can't beat this site though for anything fast electric!

          I bought a Westward 18 from ebay. The booms are warped but I think i can straighten them or replace with new.
          I will try a heat gun 1st, if that does not work I'll buy a new set.
          What is the rigging cord made of? I'll test a small piece with the heat gun before I use it on the boom. don
