Need advice on new Lipo battery...

After a long wait, I finally got the 5000 mAh 40c 2S lipo pack for my shockwave 26 v3 brushless boat in the mail.

    Here's my question:
Is a 40c rating too much for the ESC?

    Thanks in advance guys!

Nope, 40c is probably perfect. In my personal experience Ive had the best luck with 40c packs over time for some reason. It wouldn't hurt to go higher tho either like 65c.

Cool! Thanks for the input man.

I was worried since a 40c 2S lipo battery creates more amp draw compared to my previous 30c 2S lipo battery. I don't want to take a risk burning the ESC. Burned ESC equals to more money spent.

Can't wait to try it out since the boat will be faster compared to the 30c.
