    Shockwave 26 BL V3 - 7 cell NiMh

    Hi everyone

Just wondering if anyone here has tried running the Shockwave 26 BL V3 with a 7 cell NiMh pack. I'm sure this would be a considerable upgrade from the 6 cell pack I'm currently using.

The pack I was considering is the Dynamite Speedpack 4500 Mah 7 cell hump pack with EC3 connecter.

As for going Lipo, I might in the future but at the moment I can't really afford a decent pack and compatible charger to go with it. I also live in an apartment and don't feel I have a safe enough place to charge it either.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I too have a SW 26 BL V3. I compared a 7 cell 5000mah Gens Ace nimh to a 2s 5000mah 40c GForce lipo. 2s lipo was faster than the 7 cell. 7 cell was just too heavy to even see any significant gain with speed.

(side track) 4400mah 3s 40c vs 3300mah 3s 40c. Because of the weight loss with the 3300, it was also the fastest. And IMO, the run time was about the same.
