Miss Geico 17 - Replaced servo and it barely moves now?

Hi folks, previous to getting hold of a MG 24, I've got a 17 too. Saltwater knackered it and I've bought new servo and ESC. Plugged in ESC, bound it, but my new servo barely moves, just sorta twitches when I send the steer command.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

I plugged in the old servo and it does exactly the same thing. Extremely tiny movement? Can't find anything about it, could it be the transmitter after binding? I bound it in the house (and then in the garden to check it wasn't interference). Motor goes fine, just steering. Doing my nut in, can't find any info on this problem :S

try putting like wd40 on the plug contacts and see if that will work.... if not sounds like a bad receiver to me.
put your servo in the throttle channel and test it if it works in that channel it's your receiver.

The ESC doesn't have ports for the channels, they're hard soldered in. Only the servo is detachable. It's weird, the steering wheel does nothing, but the steering tabs will turn the servo. :S

Duh. I appear to have fixed it, the steering wheel on the transmitter - I took it off, put it back on, tightened it super tight and its working fine. :D

I was just going to say if the trim makes it work it's the steering pot you should take it apart and spray like a fader lube or detoxit spray in it to clean and lube it.

Q: is the motor mount for the MG17 plastic or aluminum??
