***NEW*** Pro Boat Impulse 9 and BlackJack 9 RTRs

Just saw this announced on the Pro Boat FB page this morning.... Kind of cool. Haven't seen them other than the link, but should be fun...

Cool little swimming pool play thingies. Now to start the debate on brushless upgrade options... What size motor would be a replacement for a 180 size brushed?

I'm in on that discussion^^^^^. And have no idea. But I think it would be very cool to see a 9" FE ! Lol

Thats what I was hoping for on the site also but they have the link backwards to each boat and neither of the videos are there... I will probably buy one, or both lol.

Here is the little Impulse 9:DSCN3518_3717.jpgDSCN3520_3719.jpgDSCN3522_3721.jpgDSCN3523_3722.jpgDSCN3525_3724.jpg
I was impressed with the little details ProBoat paid attention to, like thru the hull water cooling pick-up, imagine such a tiny hull without an eye sore transom pick-up. Also the brass coupler seems to be good quality. The solid shaft is a good call: worry free operation and can take an up grade should more powerful motor is installed.

Might be able to get away with shaving down that pickup... I've never tried one of these, but I'm thinking it may not need to be that deep to still get water through the system?? Not sure... Seems like it would cause quite a bit of drag the way it is???

The barbwire uses the same pick up... I actually really like it as it works extremely well, shoots a big stream out if the pisser!

Interesting... Well... whatever works. For what it's worth, however, you don't need that much water pressure to cool an FE system... a trickle out of the side is all that is really necessary. If the water is under such pressure that it's blasting out the side, it's kind of like running a car without a thermostat... water passes by so quickly that it doesn't carry away as much heat. I'd, personally, opt for less drag, and less water pressure.

Sounds like an upgrade opportunity to me! :D

                      thanks for the photos !
they look cool I used to have one of the mini z boats but they where like toyish and kind of small these look like the perfect size so you can still run them on a pond.

Do they make small 180 sized brushless motors ?.... wonder what size brushless you can use in this hull?
