I'm pretty sure that the Mystic is (as of now) retaining the "old" 60 amp speed control from the Stiletto/Impulse V1 and is being phased out in favor of the Blackjack 29. I'm almost certain the Miss Geico, Blackjack 29 and Mystic 29 all have the same hull, with the Geico having the in-line rudder and the other two with an offset one. The Blackjack, and V2 Impulse utilize the 80 amp ESC, and the new Geico uses an upgraded 60 amp ESC.

For what it's worth, I've got plenty of stick time on a Miss Geico and an Impulse and you can't go wrong either way!

I don't want to speak for the Geico as that was a friend's boat, and he didn't have his LVC on (and paid the price with a lipo fire in his yard last summer), so any times are probably longer than they should be.

As for my Impulse, I have not run it on LiPOs, but I've seen runtimes upwards of 7-10 minutes with 4600 mAH NiMH packs with an M445 prop just doing sport running.

Haven't GPS'd it, but my estimate is low to mid 20s with the stock prop, closer to 27-30 with the M445. This is (of course) just an estimate. I may have a chance to run it alongside a full scale boat with a GPS in the coming week for accurate speed numbers.

The Blackjack 29 appears to have the same power pack as the Impulse V2. I don't think either one is going to be out on the market until after summer though, at least that's what their website seems to indicate.

                    Impulse v1 with 4s setup and m445 prop about 5 min @ about 42-44 mph 5000mh 40-50c thats 2 x 2s.
have also ran it with 2x3s and a t120 and a t180 esc with a m445 high 40s to low to mid 50s and all temps good,

Mine is with the m445, but I think with a smaller prop you could get alittle longer run times.

I've got 5000mah lipos and considering you slow down for turns, it would be close to 10 mins, I keep a second pair of lipos as they are fairly cheap now,
I have the impulse and mystic, happy with both, and the convenience of lipo over nitro does make it an easier day out, and you can just keep the boat in the car incase, no smell, no oil, just connect battery and you're off.

                            Why does the proboat website
show in one area 2 2s lipos and then in another 2s or 3s lipos for the new boats
