    ESC question

I may have posted this question in th wrong area...I will try again

The ESC question relates to my sons Impulse 26..... I have several 2s 45c lipo's on the way.... my question is,,

Will the stock 30a ESC be able to handle a sigle lipo battery as mentioned above?
Also, I am wondering if the stock ESC can be programed for a lipo battery as I also have the Pro Boat programming module.

If it isnt I guess I can go with the external VLC.

Thanks in advance for any and all info or suggestions.

Honestly I think it should hold the 2s's However I dont think it was designed to hold them.

You may want to look around for another ESC they are pretty cheap. Id highly recommend the SeaKing 35a.

The Owner's Manual states the ESC is not LiPo compatible, so no LVC. The extra power from a LiPo pack versus the NiMH pack will stress the ESC with both more voltage and more current, but I do not know if this would damage the controller or not.

It is becoming more and more difficult to find suitable ESCs for boats like this. The SeaKing 35 amp controller recommended above will not work.

No it will not. The Impulse uses a brushed motor.
