    Proboat duck retrieve boat

    Hi,
Anybody know if the proboat retrieve duck works well to retrieve boats? I picked one up used at a hobby shop for only 50 bucks-- the duck has a spectrum mr200 receiver in it and a lipo pack that could power a tx-- these alone are worth more than 50. I was thinking of parting it out, but if it actually works as a retrieve i just might keep it.

    Hi Chief
I haven't heard anything about it's performance as a retriever.
If you decide to part it out I'd like to get the jet drive or the duck "hull" and jet drive.
    Let me know
    Greg

    PS
    Where in Ca are you?

Took the Duck out for a run today and gave it a test drive as a retrieve boat. It does work as a retrive, but just barely-- it is pretty underpowered-- if you had to fight any current while towing a 30" boat you would be in trouble. Lucky for me, my 2 ponds are low wind and no currents-- so I'll hang on to it.

            Hi Chief,
I'm in Sonoma County. We run at Roberts lake in Rohnert Park with the occasional trip to run with the SFMYC group in San Francisco.
