just got my boat at christmas and have been running it with 2 6 cell 3300 mah radio shack packs. i was wondering if i could run a single 6s or 5s lipo pack and if so should i go 25c or higher? oh yea the boat is sick i love it. i painted it ill post pics when i get them

if you are running with the stock esc - motor you have to go 4s single.

25C and more is ok.

you can try prop down with 5s and add separate cooling circuit plus bec .

6s means 100% explosion within 10 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!

i figured 6s was to much. i was leaning more toward 5s but i have a cf48 so ill go 4s. thanks for the advice

No problem.
I run my sv on 5S with CF45 or 4S with CF48 like you.

You HAVE to watch for high temps though.

Dual cooling (1 for motor and 1 for ESC) is essential with CF48.

Hit the flaps part with extra water tube inlet from kintec racing, one water exit plus some tube from OSE and you will be done within 10 minutes installation.

You have to fix the CG of the boat.

It will be difficult due to 1 bat.

Keep in mind that you need the weight in the center-bottom in front of the motor...

I don't thing that it will balance if you put the lipo in front of the motor.

Try to put it on the left side diagonal to the motor...

i was planning on running the lipo in front of the motor and use my old packs as ballast on the sides were i used to have them mounted. i figure with the speed the weight might help

I first started using 2 4s 2200mah packs in parallel when I first got my boat. I had used the 4s packs in my foamy jets, so it's what I had available. Also made balance a non-issue. I now use pairs of 2s 5000mah with a grim 2 blade 42x55 prop and lovin it. Good temps, great speed and run time.

even a 20c pack will work awesome in a SV !
