    New SV27 user

    Hello,

I am a newbie in RC boat and a new owner of a SV27.

I did some modifications according to the usefull information found in this forum. First week-end was not easy because of the batteries mounted in the stock trays. Then I removed them and she is much more stable. But I still find her a little unpretictable in choppy water. I have a crappy video : http://s173.photobucket.com/albums/w...rrent=SV27.flv
I think I will try next week to move the battery a little forward. Actually my CoG is around 7.5". I'm using 6000mAh 28C SMC Hardcase lipo, some OSE goodies (water jacket) and the stock prop.

If you have any advice for me, I will glady take them.

2/3rd's of each of your lipo batteries need to be in front of your motor.

Do you mean only for choppy water condition or as a general setup ?

That looks like it's running good for a sv27 in that kind of water. If the cg is too far forward it'll stuff in chop like that.

Agreed. You can move your batteries forward in 1/2" increments until you find your "happy" spot.

            General set up.

Lipo's are much lighter then nimh packs.
Boat was designed for nimh batteries.
When you put in lighter batteries your going to need to move them quite a bit farther forward then where the nimh packs sit at.
