    Supervee27 brushless:/

Well, I was told everywhere that this was the new boat to get, so I went out and treated myself to one, I charged up some 3300 Venoms which I heard were terrible, but they were all I had to use until my 7 cells and Prather 220 prop came. I went down to the lake and I gunned it, full throttle and it all sounded fine but the prop wasn't catching the water, and due to it's high rpm and slow speed there was no water going through the cooling system:/ I wondered if it was the batteries that were too far back toward the transom or that I needed to adjust the rudder back a little bit?
    Please help :/

You need 4s voltage, it's what it's designed for.

My friend has one of these and his bats (2x 2s5000 = 4s1p 5000) are in front of the motor to get the cg right.

It's a little light with these, he's going to get some 4s5000 packs and run 4s2p.
5 cars, 9 trucks, 2 scale, 1 crawler, 2 boats, 8 helis, 3 planes, 1 jet, a hydralic endloader, and that’s just the ones that are rtr or nearly so, not even counting the ones in a bucket, ugh, I got it bad.

I agree. You ask the right questions and here is an answer... http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/lipo.php

Hello Mike, and welcome to the forum. Those are in "minimum recommended" batteries range. However, you can get some decent lipos for the same or better price and they will last you longer if taken care of properly. But, and I do stress "But" you will need to get an appropriate charger and some type of "LVC" (Low Voltage Cutoff) device. Like the liposhield.

Like I said on your RCU thread, Venom batts suck....some of the cheapest cells made. 28 dollar Zippy LiPos are the way to go.

Sounds good. And One more thing, I bought some adapters for the batteries(deans to standard plug) does that have any affect on the performance?

That is definitely not good. That will add resistance and you will not get the full potential out of those batteries. At least buy some deans connectors and solder them on yourself.

So your going to use 3000mah 7cell packs with a 220 prop?
may be alittle under amped with those batteries...

Agreed. With that size prop, you'll probably pull more amps than those packs can deliver. This will probably damage the packs and/or the ESC. Go with the first ones and solder on some deans connectors. You'll be better off this way.

Hey guys, new here as well with a similar question I thought might fit. Will these batteries work? ( I hope so I have 4 enroute)

                              http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store...idProduct=7651

Can't beat the price.. just wish they weren't sold out of the 5000mah packs for $8 more.

AndI have to second not using an adapter.. I just got my first SV with a feigao motor running x442 threw in a 3S 4400 that had 3.5mm bullets on it hooked to a Deans adapter to test it. (while I'm waiting for my 2S packs to come in) Ended up fishing for a boat when I melted the solder on the of the connections in the adapter. Probably speaks a bit of my rushed soldering job, but adapter just creates more resistance and one more thing that can go wrong.
