    SV27 Motor shaft movement

I was just wondering if it is normal for the stock SV27 motor to have play in the motor shaft. Mine always has but i think it got a little worse this weekend, it has about 1/16" of movement in and out, and kinda makes a bit of a squeaking noise. It runs fine, i've been running the hell out of it the last couple of weeks, even barrel rolled it twice, lucky it ended up right side up both times lol. I just wondered if it is a bearing problem or may lead to problems down the road.

Good question, mine does the same. Time for a new motor or is this normal?

I've got absolutely no end play in mine yet.
Maybe all you need to do is replace the bearings. If you haven't been using a thrust bearing they may have worn laterally.
      Just a thought.
      Paul.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

        End Play

I wrote Jan at Kintec on this and this is the reply:
        Dave,
End play In the motor is normal, nothing to worry about. I have almost 3 yrs on one and it still puts out 40mph runs.
