I'm going to look at mine in just a bit. Like I said, the light blinks and indicates the correct # of cells.....It just doesn't do anything else.

OK, It looks as thogh the three prongs that you connect the lead from the esc to the lvc needed a little tweaking. Now it works as advertised, but I still do not like having to bend something to get it to work. Also, when you punch the throttle a little, you will see the rudder jump a little. I may redo my lead from the esc because that seems to be the same symtom that I was having with my novak lvc. It's all part of the hobby.....so no worries.

        Glad you got that resolved.

Yep, My weekend will not start off on a sour note now. Going to do some more speed runs at the pond. I've only gotton 38mph out of it so far, but I'm new to boats and don't know all of the "secrets" that you seasoned vets know.

I don't know enough. I just happen to have an SV27 with a liposhield as one of my boats.
But thanks for the compliment. Let us know what kind of speeds you're getting.

I'm running a Grim 42x55 two blade and lipos. Just upgraded the cooling system. Other than that it's stock. I used a friend's gps running watch and it showed 38.4mph on one run.....but you have to dock it to a pc to see the max speed. Don't know how accurate it is, but it's all that I had available. I could have sworn that it was going faster but you know how things always look faster on water. I'll have to go and check it again sometime. The only problem is after the first run, the water is starting to get some ripple and the SV just wants to chine walk at high speed......but that is for another thread.

This is why on all my electrics connectors i use deoxit or corrosion X put a thin coating on them and you never run into connection problems.

Does anyone have a thread as where to buy a good LVC?

I was thinking of getting liposhield, does it really works?

Yes they do... But had many problems getting it up and running right.. Was in contact with Kintec racing and Dimension Eng. But easier to invest in a new ESC.. I upgraded mine to a 90amp from Hobby Partz.. Works much better.. Running 2s-5000-40C's on my Supervee27. Made the boat come alive!!!

                          I would disagree with that.
Price of a new esc vs the price of the lipo shield. I ran the hell out of my stock 45amp esc with a lipo shield and never had a problem. Takes all of 5 minutes of soldering to add a lipo shield and $40 cheaper then a new esc. Sorry you had problems with yours, but when it comes to the case of buying just a lipo shield or a whole new esc for this boat I would pick the lipo shield JMHO.

I will say the seaking esc's are very good though and I use the 120s and 180s heavily.

Diesel you have a lot more experience then I do... But what I went through with multiple emails to Dimension Engineering and working with 2 lipo shields soldering and unsoldering.. I would NEVER wish this on my worse enemy... The $60 was cheap for a little plug and play... I am getting ready to build me another Supervee for my boy and right now he is running stock with nicads and when I switch him over to lipo's I will put a new ESC in his as well.. Was not a good 2 weeks with problems...

Agree with the seaking.. Running the crap out my Supervee... I purchased some Zippy packs from Kintec racing after reading some of your posts... Nice lipo's for the price!!! $60.00 for 2 + shipping...

With my lipo shield as soon as i plugged in the lipos the shield went up in smoke.
