    SV on 6s

I know the factory specs of the SV27 motor, and does anyone know if that motor can take 5s or 6s and not come apart like the BJ motor?
they are rated at 12-14 cells and many have ran 5s and 6s on the BJ motor..

I just rigged up a 200A esc with water cooling and made it water proof that takes upto 6s.

    thanks

I wouldn't run 6s on that motor at all. It would run hot. maybe 5s on an x440... but thats it.. if you have an esc to handle 5s.

The BJ motor can take 6s with no issues, I'm wondering if the SV motor will be the same?
most 1800kv motors can take 6s..

I did try 6s on my SV motor and it took the volts..
I need to get a smaller prop to let the motor rev up and my motor only got to 125* my esc was 105*.

          Guys,
I ran 6S on my Sv motor with a 100amp speedie, the motor ran hotter, and the outer can twisted after a couple of short runs, the motor did not like the punchiness of 6s. When the motor can twisted, it kinked a cooling line and cooked the motor good and proper.

Now I run 9XL and 6s and it is out of control still, I had a crash and destroyed a speedie, now I am going to try the 9XL on 4 s, should be a nice fairly fast sport boat at around 60km/h

Top speed on 6S is 80km/h, which is fast for such a flighty hull.

          Cheers...Tim.
