Help my motor doesn't turn after being wet

I have a stock motor that was submerged in water and after drying and recharging, I tried to run the boat but the motor is clicking and not turning. Is the motor not water proof?

The problem is more likely in the ESC or the wiring than the motor. Are the connectors - all of them - corroded? No, motors are not really waterproof and they can corrode, especially the bearings and magnets. But the motor is pretty simple and it will run underwater, and unless the shaft is locked up or the windings are shorted it should run if the ESC is giving it power. Check all the connections and try it again. Note - just because the ESC says "waterproof" does not mean it is so.

Another thing is the motor screws might be in to far?? Does the motor spin at all when you took it out? I've had my motor submerged a couple of times and it still works??

I took off the motor and there is something grinding in there and it feels like rust griding against the magnet. I don't see any screws to take to motor apart. warranty issue?

              Sounds like a bearing problem.

No screws to take the can apart, you have to pull it apart.
Be gentle if your wanting to replace the bearings on your own.

Do i have to replace the bearing, regrease the bearing, what do i do with the bearing? I bought the boat brand new 2 weeks ago and only ran it 4 times, looks like this motor has quality issue. I'm going to try to contact serve department. What is a good replacement motor?

You will more then likely be denied any type of free replacement once they find out the motor has been submerged.

And they will be able to tell if the motor has been dunked or not once you send it in.
Just take blame for whatever happened if this damage was infact caused by user error and buy a Ammo 2300 motor.

No, it is a user abuse issue. ANY BL motor would have had the same potential for failure if submerged. Bearings in these motors are usually not sealed, and even if they are they can rust if submerged.

The SV motor is pretty good as it is. It will push the hull as fast as it can be driven and still remain stable. Don't get caught up in "GPS racing" with nameless people online - you never know the truth, and high speeds with this hull usually means lots of time spent upside down not running. What matters is that you have fun with the boat, and you can do that with the stock motor (sans rust of course).

Are you running LiPos or nickel cells? You'll get more performance from better cells than from sticking in a hotter motor. The following setup works great with a LiPo-powered SV27:

                    - GrimRacer 42x55 prop
                    - SV27 trim tabs from offshoreelectrics
                    - Turn fin on left side
                    - 6 oz of lead taped under the motor.

How is it user abuse when nature of this hobby is boating? Sooner or later water will get in the hull, that is why they made water proof radio box. Especially, this boats are known to be unstable. Are you saying i have to change out the bearing or replace the motor every time water gets in? In my opinion, if they try to make the esp and radio water proof then they should have done something about the motor too.

I just talked to the service and they told me to send it for warranty. Wish me luck.

Blow the bearings dry then re oil them if you get your replacement motor wet, no more rust.

                            Up date on my settings

So i didn't wanted to wait months to get my stock motor back from the service, so i bought the ammo 2300 and set it up with S220 prop with 2sx2 5000mah lipos and this thing thinks it's an airplane! It rockets out of the hole and it wants to take off into air. I maniged to record 44.9MPH on my GPS before it fliped in air and crash it on the pond's wall. Now I have a hole in the nose. Im thinking of epoxy plug the hole and sand and touch up paint.
