    Sv27 ? Lipo ?

i have had my supervee 27 for about 1 1/2 years now . i have also recently purchased a UL-1 which i am having nothing but trouble with , but any way i have thrown alot of cash into this hobby in the last few weeks along with these purchases were 2 sets of lipos (2 5000's and 2 5200's) and a hyperion duo charger.I would like to use these for the SV27 since it looks like i'll never run them in the UL-1 but my question is besides a lipo shield unit what else will i need to convert the SV27 to LI-PO. Oh and i plan to put a Tactic 2.4 RX in the SV27 also if this would make any difference. Thanks Nick

You don't need anything to run lipos on a sv. just time your runs and with the duo you just got keep track on the Mah you put in the lipos and go from there. just stay above 70% of the Mah of the bat.

The lipo shield is just a safety thing. just cuts of power at a certain volt. I don't use one. actually my hydra 120 has one but i have never hit it. you don't have to disable the bec on the sv esc on 4s. your esc will run cooler if you do. i run all my stuff with an external bec or you can use a rx pack.

I am wondering the same as fastxturtle and is there anything I can put in the boat to let me know when its close or will i have to make a few laps and pull it in to hook it back to the charger to monitor the MAH drain and on the same note would I have to do this with my UL-1 even though it has low low voltage cut off

just buy a lipo sheild fellas. I run one in mine and it cuts the throttle out, then bring her back in and recharge. I have 4000mah packs and I put in 3200 back in every time.
