    First outting today

Just got back from taking one of my SV's to the nearest pond for the very first time.
    Started on 2 6 cell 3700mah GP packs with a k42 prop
Ran it for about 5 minutes and decided to try another prop.
Slapped on a Prather 220, What a difference!
    Loved it.
Batteries started to run low so i brought it in.
Checked everything out, everything seemed fine.

I bought this boat used for $150 shipped.
Only thing it needed was a prop and a radio system.

So, second time out i put in a pair of 4200mah IB packs.
First problem, ESC arms fine but as soon as you give it any throttle at all it will quit and you'll have to re-arm it again.

    Whats the problem?
Ive got a video of this happening also.

I expected a show when i put in the 4200's so i told my girlfriend to get some video.
    What a show!

Just be careful of the pranther 220. The larger prop can cause some heat problems which may the the cause of your esc concerns. Also did the cooling water flow through the circuit effectively as this again can be a source of problems.

Definitely not the problem, even i know that.

Boat ran perfectly fine on 3700mah packs on the same prop.
Not a single heat issue when the boat returned to shore.

After the 4200's were placed the boat would only power up for literally no longer then one second before it was dead and waiting to be re-armed.

          Yeah

Im familiar with the SV power system just not the hull.
Ive owned a couple of the SV motors and ESC's before.
          Never experienced this before.

I had this happen twice. Once it was the ESC and the other time a bad cell in one of the packs. I would think yours is a bad cell since it ran fine before that.

Sometimes the Deans connectors need a bit of re_adjustment to make a proper connection.

I have to agree. I had 5mm bullets both times this happened.

                      Sounds like the packs..
Have you put a volt meter to them and see where they are on volts? just a thought.

Most chargers these days have volt meters on them.
Yes, i have seen where these packs stand.

1 of the packs was around 11 volts when i was topping it off right before i went out.
                        The other was around 9.53volts
