    My SV27

Amongst other FE here is my newly acquired SV. Having spent a fortune on H&Ms with ETTIs and Feigaos, I wanted a cosiderably cheaper boat for bashing... I bought it with the intention to leave it stock but I couldn't resist...

    Here goes,

    1. Scorpion 120A ESC
    2. Grimracer 42X55
    3. 2X4000 4s1p Lipos
    4. 2.4GHz Futaba receiver

Sealed all the holes to tape the hatch(anyone that doen't tape hatches in FE should be executed... ) and removed any excessive stickers...

Haven't yet hit the water, but I guess it would be quite fast...

Fire in the hull-fire in the hull...

Fortunately I was playing in a very shallow pond and I walked to it's savior, apart from that horrible smell laying around everywhere the hull is placed, everything else was fine... The Scorpion ESC blew up, probably, it was a defective one, and now swapped it to the standard ESC... I am not sure though if it can handle the extra Amp-draw that Grimracer 42X55 generates... Does anybody run 42X55 with the standard ESC? Can it take it?

                  Thanks,

                  Mike

Wowzers, good thing it happened to you and not a buyer.
42x55 should be fine with the stock esc.
I havent ran mine yet but will soon.

Having in mind that I want to run Lipo's and having an 100A ESC sitting on my desk from a replacement I have installed it and now I am confident that it will handle the 42X55...

I have also trimmed the radio box to the bottom and servo mounts, and I finally have some room to work on.

                      Here it is:

ELE ESC didn't do well so I changed over to the AQ one, added LiPo saver, Aluminum water jacket, larger diameter cooling lines and it flies...
