is this prop that same as the stock sv27 prop? If so would it perform any different? I was told it would be better but it looks the same just metal?

Has it been sharpened and balanced? It should be for best results and to save bearings from wearing out fast.

Well I got to trim out the sv today. I'm not fully happy it felt slow maybe 30 mph. This is a full marine greased and I check for binds and 0 deg prop shaft angle. Also I opened up all the water fittings and rudder holes. Humm it felt faster with the stock prop. I'm surprised it wasn't faster with two 5600mah 35c 45burst 2s lipo's, also I had the cg at 8.75 from transom. Trim tabs were moved just down enough not to bounce the boat. I think I need a better prop? Is there a direct link to a web site were I can order a prop that needs no work just install and go? I'm not looking to sharpen and balance a prop if I don't have to. Any help guys?

Buy a Prather 220 and have it sharpened and balanced.

Brad65, When my SV was stock I had the best performance from an Octura M-445. Gps at 43 mph. If you don't want to spend that much to test a prop look on the OSE site at these, Product ID: grp-2317.42, Graupner K Series 42mm and the Product ID: grp-2317.45 Graupner K Series 45mm. For the price you can test them and then purchase a metal one when you find the right one. You also mentioned greasing the flex shaft. One word of warning, do not use any kind of a silicone bassed product. One of our club menbers used one and he lost about 7 mph right away. Best grease for the boat is Grim Racer Speed Grease. If per chance you used a silicone bassed grease remove it and replace the teflon liner.

skibo2 On my bj26, I'm using blue marine grease from my grease gun that I use on the wheel bearings of my BIG BOAT but not sure if it is silicon based. I guess I'll check tomorrow. Why, too thick? I'm using air gun oil in my Traxxas Villian as it has feeders

When I first started in RC Boating I used the blue marine grease from my full size boat on my Enforcer gas boat and I noticed the speed was slow and the shaft felt sticky to turn by hand. I then cleaned the grease off and regreased it with car automotive wheel bearing grease and the shaft turned much easier. The boat picked up a lot more speed. At that time I was advised by an old timer in the sport to use the speed grease from Aquacraft and have been using it ever since. I own 9 boats, FE and Gas and use it in all of them and have never had a shaft failure. I grease the shaft after every outing. The guy in our club that used the silicone based grease was using a grease put out by Traxas for cars.
