    Centre of Gravity & Set-up.

I took my brand new SV down to the pond this arvo, It's set up is:
    Strut - Neutral
    Rudder - Neutral
    Prop - 4014/3 metal
Everything else - out of the box
Batteries - 2 x 7.2 Nicad pack (from old model until Lipo's arrive next week).

I put the pack in the standard spot's and all it did was cavitate, for a test I chucked them up in front of the motor, it then jumped onto the plane straight away.

I have ordered 2 x 4900mah lipo's from Hobbycity, so when arrive and I stick them in, what should I be looking for as the COG?

If someone has a set-up that is recommended - COG, Strut & Rudder angles, please let me know, it will save a heap of trail and error.

I have also noticed the water cooling is not real flash, seem's very retricted, I will investigate.....

    Thanks in advance - Tim.

The lipo batteries are going to completely change the boat trust me. Here is my quick setup running lipo.
    Strut--neutral
    Rudder--slightly tucked under
Trim tabs one and a half "turns" down from neutral (I use OSE adjustable)
COG 8.5 inches forward of transom
    Prop--CF45 or Grim 42x55
    Stock motor
The boat runs pretty light and it does like to flip. At least for me the trim tab adjustement is very important in keeping it stable. This spring I will try adding weight at the COG as recomended by others on this site.
