I use the 42x55 and is perfect. Fast plane, fast speed.
Besides congratulating Grim for the super boats (SV 27, ...) with which I started FE boating from nitro I would like to ask for what use is the propeller L 38x55 intended?
If possible please give boat type, dimensions, rpm. Or to be more specific will it be OK for a Mean Machine (29" cat) on 29,000 rpm? I would really appreciate your answer. Thanks.Twin Cat 135, Sprintcat40 (single-twin), DF 35", Maritimo, Mean Machine, SV 27

DISAR,
The L38X55 is a med lift propeller. Its designed for low strut angles and true forward thrust. Narrow thrust cone and good launch.
The prop was not developed for any single application but rather a go to prop for hydros and some monos.
It might be worth a shot on your MM but truth is Im just not sure. I know it sounds costly but all ya can do is buy and try.. BTY you do not want to see my prop box.. its UGLY.. I have lots and only use a few.. If you want wins…That is RC boating.
ROCK ON

Good morning Grim!
The prop question and answer was perfect for what I was looking for. I was having some cavitation problems with the boat and your answers were perfect to my questions.
I really enjoy reading your wisdom concerning this hobby. It is incredible to be able to go to a forum and pick the brain of the person who brought a product to market.
I have had the boat for over a year now and still enjoy running it very much. Although yesterday I accidently found some ice on the lake with the boat. No damage, just some horrific sounds as it acted like an ice breaker on a thin sheet of ice.
Thanks,
MikeComment
