i wanted to know what is HATCH TAPE? my hobby store didnt know, and called a marine sales store and they didnt know?? need to tape hatchs and dont want to mess up decals. thks jim

Hatch tape is used to seal the gap between the hatch and the hull and prevent water from entering the hull, especially if you flip it. The ashesive on the tape shouldn't be strong enough to tear the decals off, but you still need to be careful to ensure this doesn't happen.Comment

hatch tape aka radio box tape...some of the best is Renfrew 'shin guard tape'(hockey tape), found at a sporting goods store(during hockey season, thus for those of us in the northern hemisphere...its almost time to stock-up

YES found it ! hatch tape or hockey tape, found it @ ice skate n rink. $2.97 and no ship n :) some places want $2.99 and $8.00 to ship. ran supervee today ran great and no water n boat:) but were the rudder arm boot comes out the boat i sealed with silicone @ the hull and NO WATER to day!!! i mean none!! thats a frist we me and a supervee. plus no flips or rescues makes for a good day2 SV27s, 1 SV27r, 2 BLACKJACKS 26, 1 GENESIS 40Comment
