SV spending the night at the pond!!

Well after a good running with the SV with the new ammo 2300 motor and a CF 42 prop, the SV flipped and i sent out the villan to get it, the SV drifted into some reeds and the viilan got stuck in them. There was just no way to get them out and it started to get dark. So both the villan and the SV are there until tommorow. What i wanted to ask you guys is the SV is upside down water tight with plenty of floatation. My question is the lipo batts are still connected whats going to happen to the esc or batts overnight like that upside down? the batts are losi 5000 25c lipos i am worried? your comments will help me sleep better until i can get the boats out of the water. thanks guys

The amp draw from your esc is very low and hopefully there was a lot of capacity left in the batteries so it will probably sit there untill you get it with no problem. If it does drain the batteries too much then you will have a couple of ruined batteries but you will still be alive because you didn't go try to swim out and get the boat! Good luck!

Thanks guys. ya i knew the batts would be the problem, no worries about water getting in, hatch is taped up tight and full of floatation. i just came back from big 5 sporting goods i bought a sevlor sunburst infaltable boat. ill be heading to the pond early i cant sleep thinking about it i know it may be silly but i just bought a new motor, props, drive cable and others. the batts cost 125.00 each im bringing my charger to along with a multi tester. the ammo 2300 is a beast of a motor i could never get the SV up to wot no matter what i did with tuning. it is also quieter than the stock motor. the cf 42 prop is the right prop for the motor temps were 112 on the motor and 115 on the batts after 4+m inutes of running before the flip. the transom pick up is the way to go if you run the ammo. thanks again guys i am inflating the sevlor boat in my living room right now its huge but it will more than get the job done i pray for my batts thanks guys!!!

Nope, well not yet anyways. I live in MA but hoping to get stationed at Yosemite or Redwood NP after I finish the acadamy. I own a Jeep Rubicon, google it.

Ah I get it well when you get out here you can take your Jeep Rubicon on the famous Rubicon trail out here.

Where's the optimism? (thinking of the lipos, I can understand)

Very funny guys yes i made it!! the sv was filled with water but the foam helped to keep it floating. the villan was all tangled in the reeds. The lipos in the sv where okay but already after just 11 hours in the water showed signs of corrosion wow. the villan had a 3 cell thunder power batt and that was done for, it drained out completely. alright now the funny stuff.,inflated the boat tried to get in it it flipped upright i went in the water no vids sorry guys im all wet yelling THATS GREAT!! I GET IN AND YOU KNOW WHAT I CANT PADDLE FOR SQUAT. all in all i got the boats but still have pond microbes in my but but ill fix that thank you all for the concerns im back

You got them both back! Great! Be careful charging the Lipos for a few times you never can be to safe. Was the TP puffed? If not you could try bring that to life.

Thanks Jeep!! yes got them both back sorry to say the Thunder power battery is super toast i use a Thunder Power 610c with a lipo recovery mode but he batt was to far gone. the two losi batts on the sv where okay after 11 hours in the water. the back of the transom is where the tape failed if not the sv would have been bone dry. The ammo motor is a beast at high rev i could not keep the sv planted, i put the six ounces of weight under the motor for weight assuming this mod is for lipo batts not nimh as these will be to much weight. I was told this will help with control and handling and speed so i will give it a try and let you guys know. I used the trimable lead weights that come in strips at 1/4 ounces each and used a scale to get six ounces. Other than getting dunked from trying to get in the sevlor inflatable the sv and villan are now quietely resting until then, i am also glad i did not use the Bristol bay to try and recover them., i was going to put fishing line on the mini rio and send it out with me holding the line at the other end to snag at least the sv but that was not a good idea i was getting desperate. so i waited and bought the inflatable all in all im dry now and will not run again in that area of the pond o one more thing i have never seen so many fishing bobers in the reeds i saw at least 6 bobers but no way was i going to collect them Thanks for reading!!
