Ammo 2300 0r 2600?

I know it may have already been asked and andswered, but which ammo motor 2300 0r 2600 would be best? I run 5000 2 cell 20c and 25c lipos any additional tips and info would be nice to!! glad i have you guys to ask.....thanks a million

I would guess, being it is a SV thread, that it's an SV. What voltage are you running and in series or parallel?

Are you running the stock SV esc. If so you might want to go with the 2300, as the 2600 may be pushing the limits of the ESC. If you try the 2600 prop down and check temps of the esc.

Thanks Hydromaniac. I will probably go ahead with the 2300 i dont want to buy a new esc unless i blow the stock one and it wont be because i over proped or to much juice, the 2 sets of lipos for the V where quite the dollar and it will be awhile before i think esc upgrade

If you are running in a 2p set up you will be way off the mark. The Super V is a 4s boat. If you run 2s2p youll be very disapointed. You need to run your lipos in a 4s1p configuration and 2300kv motor will perform like a dream!

I would suggest the 2600. If you are running 7.4 volts in parallel, then you are still only running 7.4 volts. I wouldn't think that the 2600 at 7.4 volts would draw too much current for the standard ESC.

Thanks guys i knew i would get the responses i needed i may just go ahead and get both and tinker with batteries and props and my wifes head! who slowly but surely will stop financing my r/c boating needs thanks guys im sure the sv is going to be alot faster either way i go

How about the 2300 and a cheap 100 amp ESC? That way you will have a little headroom and not have to worry so much if you decide to reasonably prop up.

can you suggest a good dual battery 100 amp esc, i like the idea just unsure of who,what ,where and when. In all honesty i am tapped out in cash but i will remember all the suggestions i do appreciate it

The Xpower is a good ESC for the money. Steve doesn't rate them right up to 100 amp but I have run a few of them without any problems...Just depends on the amount of $$ you want to spend. I have also run a couple of mystery esc's from eBay. Haven't had too many problems with them. Most are not water cooled so that needs to be sorted. Again you get what you pay for.

The Xpower is a good inexpensive ESC. I have a pulso which is the same thing. It also is water cooled. You can't beat Steve's service on purchasing these.

Of course you'll have to water cool them yourself. Also, depending on your radio, you may need a pistix as well.
