    Venom speed meter

Hey all not sure if this has been covered or talked about but has anyone tried using the Venom Speed meter? I know that a car shaft spinning and a boat shaft or cable spinning are to different animals so im just wondering? seems like it could work. Any help on this would make me happy!!

With the cost of a gps going lower and lower, its a more accurate way to measure. The problem with a shaft measuring device is that it doesn't take into effect the slip percentage of the prop.

Thank you Mr. Vaccaro. I thought the meter would have a problem getting real accurate speed measurements but i wasnt sure how. I just cant put my 200 dollar gps in a boat that likes to roll over and play dead at times lol. off topic Mr. Vaccaro did you receive my order under Darlene Chargualaf? i was suppose to send you a money order but i used a credit card instead. Wow Mr. V im so glad your site is still around not sure if you remember me i was maybe one of the first to put a Novak HV max motor in a Aquacraft hammer? about five years ago? any who mr. V thanks for everything you do for us in the boating community you are famous sir and we are fourtunate to have you around to supply and help us thank you

I put my Garmin Nuvi 310 in a clear plastic zip-bag in the front compartment of my brushless converted TC31, where the fuel tank used to be, and then tape a clear perspex sub-hatch over to seal the hull for my speed measured runs.
