    My first summer with SV27

    Hi all!

-I just wanted to let everybody know what kind of summer i had with this thing.

First hull cracked after one pack

    -tower sent me replacement hull.

    That hull was pos,

laminated wrong, so tower sent me another one.

This is good one, and goes over 40mp/h -almost stock.

After i clocked the 40mp/h run, the boat flipped, broke the hatck shaft(that carbon one at the front) and my gps went bye bye.

    Few pics.

So,,when your hatch came off and your GPS went "bye bye" was the hatch taped down,,,if not then you had an expensive lesson on the positive aspects of tape. Tape also eliminates the need for the autobailer you installed.

Yeah, it was taped, the bar/carbon thingy on the hatch broke, i guess that the gps bounced on the hatch and ripped the hatch off. -it was HUGE unit, and very heavy.

Please dont take this as a slam, but you have to realize that you get what you pay for. I understand the sv is not the least expensive boat out there. But it is mass produced in a country where number of products made in the factory drive manufacturing more than quality. The alternative is to buy a much more expensive boat.

All in all, the sv is a terrific boat, thats really getting the attention and use from people that would have never before run a electric boat because they were either slow or very expensive.

I do agree with that Steven , it is just the thing that nowadays is visible on eveything -qc is nowdays on consumers hands.

-If this thing would have been build in USA, or europe this would have been near perfectly made, but it would cost many times what the sv costs.

I love my sv´s and OSE parts are perfect for this thing.

I only wanted everyone to know that there are bad hulls out there, and since warranties do work, use them if necessary!

          I RECOMMENNED SV27 FOR EVERYONE!

If some 1 has not seen the "gps be gone" -vid, here it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A0SY_LyZho -i trimmed it extremely hig, so it bounced alot, but it was fast!

This one is the last clocked vid, 40.58mp/h. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaVeWKUT_Lg

I think I got way more than I paid for with my SV. I took the time to "build" it right and correct factory mistakes and I ran all summer with the original motor and speed control. The handling is a bit frisky but it's not a real big boat and it turns beautifully. Not one drop of water got in because as soon as I got it I took off the "hatchy thing" and sealed it all up.
I think it was a great buy and the whole setup cost about as much as one top-of-the-line speed control. (I still think the white ones are the fastest)
