Super Vee motor timing and frequency

Does anybody now how many poles the super vee motor has?
What would be the best timing and frequency settings to run the motor on if you do not have the stock speed controller?

I have got the Xpower speed controller with program box and set the timing to 20 degrees and the frequency to 16.

Any ideas?

I believe that the Supervee is a six pole motor
