Can I install LiPo's with original equipment?

All you guys have been talking about the improvement using LiPo batteries. I've been running NiMh, and am thinking about upgrading. Question: do I have to buy a new ESC and motor? Or can I use the stock ESC and motor that comes with the SuperVee?
Dang, I love this boat, but it's sorta' liike a black hole for money. Still, I have this male craving for anything with a motor to go faster, looker meaner, more RPM's. I think most of you on this forum know the feeling.
    Thanks!

A change to (2) 2s packs will be a increase in speed. But you will not have the low voltage cutoff you need. Its important to make sure both packs are charged and that you time your runs. How I do it on a new setup is run for a short time. Say 1 minute. Than stop the boat and charge the lipos. See how much mah goes back in. If I have 4000mah packs and in that 1 minute I used 1000 mah, after the charge, I run for 2 minutes and repeat the process. I follow the racers rule of thumb and only drain my cells to 70% of the rated capacity.
