    finally got one!!!

finally got one! seems like my converted "miss vegas" hydro was lonely out in the water so i picked up a SV27 at the LHS. got the ugly green one though, only one they had. my friend is going to play with it when i play with my hydro. i've seen other's run their's at the pond we play at and it looks good. gonna take it out tomorrow to try it out then figure out what kind of mods i'd like to do to it.

man, this boat thing has got me hooked.............................2 boats in less than 2 months (the wife doesn't even know about this one)....................i just love it!

did alittle paint job on the SV this afternoon...............the green was killing me!! also added another turn fin to the other side of the boat. made it out of some anodized aluminum sheet i had leftover from my other builds. ran it today with 4s lipos.................i love the speed! the rooster tails were fun as hell to see and it drives pretty good. had to play around with the trim tabs alittle. probably going to make a set of adjustable ones out of aluminum also. one thing though, does it always run with the nose up that high? i have a feeling the i should move the lipo's more forward. i'll post some pics later tonite.

for the 'stock' sv class, we try to keep the boat more or less level. sounds like your boat's cg is a tad far aft.

tomorrow i'm going to try and relocate the lipos more forward in the hull and get the boat to level out. thanks for the input.

I've heard that, 3 oz. of lead under the motor works nicely

here's some pics of the simple paint job. just figured it needed alittle someting to add to the green...................there's just too much green. stock SV drivetrain, just running (2) 2s Maxx Amp 8000 Mah lipos and changed the prop to the upgraded metal Grim Racer prop for the SV's. added a turn fin to the starboard side of the boat, made it out of some scrap aluminum sheets i had. here's some pics, thanks.

hooked up with Tunda today and he gave me another SV hull with some hardware (thanks bro !). the hull looks awesome, better than i thought. i'll get some pics of it and post it. looks like i got my work cut out for me this weekend. hopefully i can get it running by next tuesday (my friend and i usually play with the boats before we do our weekly r/c drifting after work). gotta steal the electronics out of my "miss vegas" hydro though for now. plans are for stock SV electronics, spectrum rx/tx, venom 4000Mah 2s lipos (2), maybe i'll put in my Ammo 36/50/2300 inrunner, grim racer upgrade prop, stock aqua craft servo. gonna fab up the turn fins and trim plates out of aluminum sheet. i'll get pics of the hull, i was stoked when he handed it to me. shoots.

again, thanks alot Tunda..................hit me up when you want to build a crawler, i'll hook you up !
