How do you guys keep the stinkin' batteries in?

    Greetings SV27 enthusiasts!
I'm an R/C junkie, and just bought my very first RC boat, the Supervee27. I've read all the advice on the threads from this forum, and followed all the procedures to make my boat waterproof, etc. I've put a double line of velcro in the battery hold-downs, and also generously lined my batteries with velcro. But when the boat flips, the batteries come loose, the boat is out of balance, and it's just no fun from then on.
So, HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU GUYS KEEP YOUR NiMH, 6 CELL BATTERY PACKS FROM FLYING LOOSE INSIDE THE CABIN?
Thanks for the help! There are some great threads on this forum for noobs like me.

My pack supports are gone (wood pieces) and besides full width and length velcro I plastic welded a velcro strap on each side that wraps around the pack.My packs only come loose when I hit a tree head on at speed

post a picture for us to see the insides of your boat.
      It'll be easier to suggest.

I agree. Industrial velcro and battery straps. I epoxy them down to the hull because the velcro grabs so hard it tends to pull them loose if you don't.

some people also wedge a swim noodle on top to keep them on the velcro
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

                    Yep, it works great!

I bought the industrial strength velro, and it works fantastic. I noticed a big difference in the boat's handling by moving the batteries forward. My boat was hopping like crazy. It was going airborne a lot! Fast, but not controllable. Next I'm going to install some aftermarket stabilizers and see if that improves the handling.
                    This is an awesome forum!
                    Thanks.
