we run/use 8" styrofoam balls for course markers...if you don't hit them dead center the boat will bounce off. last year I hit the entry bouy for turn1 and had to go out and rescue the boat
(thats what I get for trying to use the inside lane).
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in
