16.8v on a Supervee 27

Does anyone use two 7 cells nimh batteries in series for their SV27?

Which ESC do you have? I would think you need to know what is the max. voltage your ESC can take, freshly charged 4s lipo is at 16.8 volts, 14 cell nimh can go beyond 19 volts coming off the charger. According to the spec here you should be ok:http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=dh-aqum7005.
Someone with more knowledge will help you out, I am just thinking out loud here.

my ESC is the older one with the blue water cooler mounted on the outside. found the spec and it said the max voltage is 18V. gonna play it safe and skip it. Thanks,
