Electrical Box Smell like Ammonia

the boat runs mint with no problem what so ever today. But, after running my boat, brought it home to clean and dry it out. I open the E box and notice a strong ammonia smell seems like it's coming from the ESC. has anyone experience this and is my ESC on it's way out?

did you use silicone to seal the box?

the Aquacraft ESC is potted, but I did use Dow electrical grease on the RX to make it water resistance. it's silicone grease I think.
