supervee take off problem

hey guys i bought a used super vee brushless
i have a few questions:

is there lvc on the stock blue speed control?
and i have a problem with acceleration or out of the hole power

if i easy the throttle it goes ok then gets up to speed and hauls ass
but if i gun it like my mystic it kind of bogs for a few seconds then slowly takes off and goes like a bat out of hell, what could that be?

running stock brushless motor and esc
2 2s 5000 40c lipos

any help would be cool thanks

No lvc adjustment. You could try different props, but I've noticed v hulls tend to do that more than cats. Jmo

If it says lipo ready on the esc it has lipo cut off. I don't think the older SV27 with the blue hardware has LVC or the never 27R for that matter. What size prop and motor are you running? Is the prop just cavitating or is it an rpm issue. becareful gunning it in the current condition it could be overlaoding the electronics and eventually fry

Never seen an Sv that doesn't cavitate on take off, it's normal.
No need for an LVC, time your runs and make note of how much goes back into the batteries.
Some lvc have the cutoff too low, some just don't work very well, a simple egg timer is the safest.
Been running my original non lipo SV since I got it with lipos.

my supervee never cavitated unless I used a prop with too high of a pitch. It would do great if I accelerated slowly but if I gun it it would cavitate then eventually get up to top speed. I stuck to a m445 w/3.2cup to reduce lift. radared at 58mph. only problem was i Spent more time waiting for the flood chamber to flip the boat back over after it hit any little ripple. but it was a fun little speed demon. a real crowd pleaser when it flew through the air for 30 ft then landed right side up and kept going. Fun boat I miss mine.

its all stock
im guess its not the 27r because its the blue esc abd motor

the thing is if i feather it straight it will finally go like a bat out of hell
but the problem is when i nail it out of the hole

3 blade props cavitate more. I'm assuming you have the stock one on there? Try a two blade. Faster out of the hole

If it is the stock 3 blade prop the slow take off is normal. You could try putting your cg a bit more forward. Also like the others said you can prop up. Try a x642 or an m445 and that should get u out of the hole faster.

yes i moved the batteries forward that help a little

What prop is on your mystic? You can always try it.
Does the one you have on there say x437/3 or x440/3 ?

not sure its on a shelf in my house to nice to play with...ill take it down tomorrow and check the prop
