Finally got the boat to plane using the Venom batts.

Set the gap to 1/8", this made the boat go faster but still would not plane.

Gradually moved the batts forward till the boat started to plane, they ended up a cellpack pitch forward.

Once I have mastered driving the boat, I will start dialing in the performance tweeks you guys do.

Thanks for all your help, I have been struggling with this problem for 5 months and you guys have sorted it in 5 days.

I will keep visiting this forum to keep up to date.

Again thanks for all your help.

one small drop of light oil on each of the motor bearings would not be amiss, lube sched. motor- once a month(immediately after dunking if the motor gets wet), prop shaft once every 3 runs(pull the shaft at the end of each days runs wipe it clean and dry & store in a safe location like inside the boat) lube before starting a days run. hth

What about the strut bushing wanting to slide in and out of the strut while running with a gap there? will that cause any problems with binding or anything?

if you're running the boat as designed (i.e. full throttle) the bushing might slide as much as 1/16" I wouldn't worry about it. :)

hey, im running a Y535 prop on a 7xl on 14 cells and it doesn't seem like its stable... when it reaches top it wobbles, like its hydro planing... not rocking...

also whats the best way to get rid of too much cavitation.

your prop might have to much lift, just a sugestion though.
