Battery Straps, Removing Stock Plywood Battery Mounts in an SV-27

hello. i want to stop my batteries rattling around, and don't want to velcroize the batteries. so, basically what the title says:

    1) can i take a heat gun to the inside of the hull, to loosen the glue holding the plywood battery mounts in the sv-27? i'd rather not destroy the mounts. but i really don't want to melt the hull.

    2) does anybody know of an appropriate velcro STRAP system, so i don't have to stick velcro strips on my batteries, which i hate to do? i mean one where the straps themselves attach to the hull by glue or servo tape (as opposed to looping through slots like on a buggy)....

    thanks.

The stock battery trays just came right off of my SV with not much effort. I had some Novak battery trays and associated battery straps kicking around and I ended up with this. I ran the boat like this all last year and the batteries remained in the tray with no issues whatsoever.
