Brass Stuffing Tube

need some help? my flex shaft broke today and i lost the shaft with a brass prop again , there was the brass strut bushing hanging out the back. is there suppose to be a nylon tube in the strut as well?? just ordered the upgraded shaft from ose does anyone know if they are silver soldered??? thanks
