    Thrust bearing?

Is anybody running thrust bearing bearings on their SV's? I was thinking about it but don't know how to go about it. Anyone have some pic's or descriptive directions. I'm assuming they would go in front of the motor mount, but I'm kind of a newbie to boats. I'm a veteran when it comes to 4 wheel vehicles and am pretty handy with the tools if you know what I mean! . Throw me a line here if nothing else and I'll fill in the pieces.

Thanks, I get the general concept but was kind of looking for some pics of a SV or some part numbers or sizes of parts and how to use them.

Try here. The first one appears to be the right one.

It installs on the motor shaft behind the motor coupler in front of the motor case.

i just bought a thrust bearing and if you get a short octura motor coupler like i did you you may have to cut the motor shaft alittle or shim it with some washers, something you would never think of you know, the coupler bottoms out before it reaches the thrust bearing
