Get a Delta 26 my favourite hull ever. I also have a 29 on sv power does 35mph the whole time its easier to drive than the 26 but the 26 is just insane.

I'll have to look into the delta 26 but do you think it worth the money?

The 29 is more stable and capable of higher speeds with more power.

I've had a 26 and they are great but, a 29" is that much better.

So it sounds like it better to spend the money on a new hull then it is to fix the sv27 hull

Depends if you like a challenge/project?

many people have re-paired their hulls with great success!

Either of the DF hulls will handle better than a SV hull, I really like SV's but if mine got damaged it would probably be replaced with a DF29 hull with the SV hardware and electronics.
They don't call them superflips for nothin'! A bunch of SV's running together is a lot of fun as everybody has the same running issues, kinda like Crackerbox racing.
I wouldn't be surprised if Aquacraft has a new mono out soon to compete with the new Proboat mono.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

A crack in the hull at the transom is no big deal, IMO. I spent a good chunk of the winter refurbishing a couple of sv27's and am more than satisifed with the outcome. I loved the challenge of restoring them. Some day I might go the DF29 route but I wouldn't sacrifice a good sv27 to do it. I currently have two running sv's and a third hull that I hope to find some hardware and power for over the next few motnhs. The sv27 my first FE boat and I have some sentimental attachment to them. . . even if they are affectionately nicknamed "superflip".
A dream not pursued is not worth holding.
