If yes then the BJ motor is a little less KV, but a better motor over the blue can sv motor. You could also get the new SV27R 6 pole 1800kv motor, which would run a lot better over the blue can sv motor. Both motors can use the stock esc and.
If you want a complete different setup motor/esc. Grab ul-1 power.
Are you using lipos? -
3700mah, what "c" rating? That's pretty low mah... Running 2 2s and the stock esc you could run the new sv27r motor, you might not see a huge jump in mph but it is a lot more efficient, you could run the ammo 36-50 2300kv motor, that would get you into the mid 40s (personally Im not a huge fan of that motor but that JMO). You could run a BJ motor and swing a HUGE prop. With that stock motor and esc you can get very high 30s i.e 39mph with a 42x55 prop, you may even hit 40 stock. Make sure you use a lipo shield on that esc. IMO ul1 power is hands down the best for boat (check my vid in my signature).Comment

Yea those batts are just barley putting out enough amps for that setup. I would look at buying new batts before a new motor! Mah rating means A LOT MORE then just run time! That mah and c rating will determine how many amps your batts can supply to your setup. Invest in some different higher mah packs. I use alot of 4000 & 5000 40c packsComment

I have a BJ motor with 3 runs on it. Would be great on 4 or 5s with a 45mm prop. I'm thinking of selling it, so if you want it let me know. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...rod=dh-prb3310Comment
