Which motor to upgrade to?

After thinking I had a leak in my boat, I tested out the water cooling and noticed there was a leak right were the motor is. So now I have to get a new water jacket, but I was thinking maybe I should upgrade my motor at the same time and get a new jacket for that.

So, I'll be running two 2s 5000mah 25-50C LiPos (the new Turnigy nano-tech ones), and a 40/55 prop. I know, I WILL get the 42/55 prop because it's awesome. Just sticking to this one for now. I have the stock ESC on there, stock water pickup, and upgraded trim tabs.

My stock silicone water jacket leaked once, I took it appart to look for a crack or tear and found the water tubes had just too much side tension on it. I repositioned the hoses to a more relaxed position and no more leaks! Check that out.

Just get a good aluminum water jacket and use the stock motor. It has more than enough power for that hull. I have run numerous motors in there and the stock one was the one that I had the most fun with.

I think I'm just going to stick with my stock motor for now. The season's almost over and then it'll just be sitting around. Next year will bring in more upgrades! Unless the motor fries like it did to some other people on here.

I blew through the cooling tubing yesterday after my run, and there was water coming out of the silicone jacket on the motor. It's also a great excuse to get a better cooling jacket!

i ended up replacing the cooling jacket once i added the transom water pick up. it was to much water pressure for the silicon water jacket. also when i opened up the hole and drilled it through the rudder it to was to much water pressure. the metal water jacket can handle the pressure.

I am going to order the one from Kintec, along with an upgrade shaft since mine bent after a crash a while ago. I just realized this the other day, haha. I knew there were something wrong with it.
