    I broke 50 finally!

    51.5 on my Garmin.

Finally getting my SV setup right it seems, let me know if I should expect more speed based on my setup.

This run I was using 2 2200Mah 3S 25C Flighmax Lipos, Octura x642 S/B, SeaKing 120a speed controller, Feigao 540 11xl 1577kv (Thank you Diesel!), dual water pickup - stock hull, trim tabs and radio.

I see what everyone means about the SV flying at anything over 50. I have my trim tabs neutral which really helps when it starts getting air under it by keeping it from flipping backwards suddenly.

I'm waiting on my 5000Mah 3S 40C Turnigy's. It should really scream then. I love the fine line between speed and flipping! I'm almost wondering if a RC car wing might help keep the SV on the water over 50. Probably kill a few mph, but I know on my nitro cars they really help with directional stability and downforce.
32" Toysport Triton, stepped hull, no flood chamber, 1515 1.5y NEU 1500kv motor, 180a Turnigy SC - running 6S, Aquacraft SV27 - currently running UL1 motor on 4S. Boat has seen 59mph running Feigao 11XL on 6S, 17" Velocity Minicat

Congrats the larger packs may slow you down a bit because they weigh more. Have you tried a Grim 42/55 yet with the bigger packs and that prop you should still be over 50.

Yeah, I thought I might lose speed due to the larger packs, but hoped it might help it stay on the water.

Yeah, I have a Grim 42x55, but have not had it sharpened and balanced yet.

Hey glad it worked out for ya , that motor will turn that 42x55 no problem even a 45mm prop like a m445 or x645. Try adjusting packs further forward settle the front in down some. Good job man!

Yep. Tried moving my batteries about an inch further forward and it still was skipping so I thought it did not help, but checked the GPS and 54.6!!!

It's real hard to keep that boat down at 50 + the hull just isn't long enough for those speeds.

Sure. Funny thing though is I removed by battery box and was actually slower! 48.6mph today. With both of my props x642 / 42x55 same speed and the thing started flying.

I think the reason it's so fast is because it's so light with the 2200mah 3S Flightmax Lipos I'm using.
