    Thanks to all that responded to my questions!
    In my experience the rudder water pickup didn't work well at all, so I chose the prop wash pickup in addition to a transom pickup.

    You need to leave a gap between the drive dog, and the strut. The friction when the flex winds up will rob lots of power, cause unnecessary amps, and snap your flex.

        No prob. It is a copy Delta Force hull. 40" long. Just recently sold it. Awesome boat! Has a Neu 2215 on 9s2p.

            Is that a CRACK fixed with epoxy ?

              Yes, that is epoxy. Cracks appeared on the transom so that's how I sealed them up. It works. Its not pretty. I have since applied epoxy to the length of the board on the inside of the transom (top edge) to strengthen.
              Re: the prop p.u. : I just bought some brass tubing & bent it with a tube bending spring which I ordered on line (approx. $8.00) . the water flow is great.
