    Smoke!

    ran my boat today with my new esc and so much friction it burned the paint off my collet (i should'nt have painted it any way) but the collet cant hadle the high torque from my mottor and it keeps sliping any suggestion as to a newer beter stronger collet?

    You are not tightening it enough (assuming you didn't get paint on the threads). To help with that, take it apart and apply NeverSeeze lightly to the threads. This will let you tighten it more (use wrenches at least 6" long). If the cable has been damaged by the spinning collet, you may need to replace that too.

    A better solution is to replace the coupler with this one:

      i tightend the hell outa the collet n it still came loss ,so im just gonna get a new one n c if that helps
