Welcome to the Forum. You will enjoy the SV and you'll like even more when you get those lipos. Theirs TONS of info here have fun and happy boating. I'd suggest reading a lot of the threads here, because most if not all questions you have will prob be answer somewhere. Also the search tool at the top is a great source to better pin point any questions you may have.

      Hi Diesel

      thanks for the reply.

i ran my boat yesterday, first time out with an RC boat.

had cars/trucks up until now so i took things very easy.

it ran with the bow quite high out of the water, i need to experiment with moving the packs forward now and am making the modification to the battery trays.

had a small amount of water get in even with the hatch taped so i'll check the fittings and seal them.

i was surprised at just how fast it went when it planed, when it pops up out of the hole it takes off like a shot.

anyway had my first taste of RC boating and i love it.

Glad you liked it, I started with a RIO EP and thought it was fun and cool, then I found this website and then got a SV and been hooked or as my wife says addicted ever since. Once you get rid of the battery trays and move your packs forward it will help with how loose your boat is running. Also if you havent already invest in some new trim tabs such as these: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=ose-tab1015 or these: http://www.kintecracing.com/Supervee_27_upgrades.html (scroll down). Make sure you use a straight edge to verify that your trim tabs and strut are completely neutral. Swap that prop stock prop over to a 42x55 or a 40x52/3 and have fun.

The water may becoming from the stuffing tube, make sure you got the flexshaft greased really really good with some grimracer grease (it can also be found on the kintec link above just scoll down.) Also check and make sure all the hardware is tight and bathtub test it.

went for another run with my boat yesterday.

had the battery packs moved about 50mm forward of the normal position and that helped heaps, made it run a lot better.

got stuck out in the water when my packs ran out, my nimh packs are years old and not going that well anymore, but i had my kayak there as my backup so all good.

i got these props GrimRacer 40 x 52 3 blade and GrimRacer 42 x 55 on the way, also got starboard turn fin coming as well.

will get the trim tabs you suggested in my next order, i need some of the grimracer grease and hatch tape so i'll get all that in the one order.

just a quick question for when i get my LiPo's: do i need to run a LVC ????

          thanks for your help

          mark.

              Hi Wizard

              thanks for the tips.

is this the stock ESC in the SV27??

Great Planes silver series 45 AMP

doesn't this have a voltage cutoff that is set automatically???

sorry i'm new to LiPo technology.

Is this what you have and is it water cooled?

I know that this ESC is not water proof

Post some photos so I can see OK?
