    cooling jacket

i put a new water jacket on my motor and a pickup on the hull, then i put a "T" connector in the line and used the stock rudder pickup with the hull pickup, will that be ok or should i leave the rudder pickup off?

I use both and it seems to work well. I have seen pictures both ways so I think it just personal preference.

Use one or the other. Not both. Water follows the path of least resistence. If you have a transom or trim tab pickup AND the rudder pickup, there will be hull ride angles (like in a turn) where the hull or trim tab pick up are out of the water. In that condition the water being picked up by the rudder will simply drain out the hull/trim tab pickup and not pass thru the motor/esc. Like I said. Its the shortest path.

Use one for the esc and one for the motor. You can then use the T for the outgoing water.

I use both pick ups and 2 outlets. With a fail safe design. Temps average 100-110 on both the motor and esc with averae speed of approx 45mph top speed was 47.3mph with a garmin gps.
