First Post! Wondering if I bought the right LiPo batteries

I just got my new SV27 Brushless this weekend. I'm totally in love with this boat and have already ordered LiPO batteries and charger from HobbyKing.

I'm learning fast, but still unsure how I should set these up to ensure I don't burn up my stock ESC and Motor. I've used the LiPo wiring tool, but unsure what else I need to buy - like a balancer. I suppose I need one of those too.

    Turnigy 5000mAh 2S 20C Lipo Pack http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9172
    ACC6 Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=7028
32" Toysport Triton, stepped hull, no flood chamber, 1515 1.5y NEU 1500kv motor, 180a Turnigy SC - running 6S, Aquacraft SV27 - currently running UL1 motor on 4S. Boat has seen 59mph running Feigao 11XL on 6S, 17" Velocity Minicat

    Welcome!!!
You will not need to buy a balancer with the charger that you have listed. The charger has a built in balancer. Just make sure you use it everytime you charge. Just to let you know this is a dc charger so if you want to use a ac outlet you need a power supply. To answer your question the batteries you bought are fine and will do the trick. A lot of people here including myself use turnigy and zippy batteries. I like to use 30c and higher but just a preference. Keep above 20c and you will be just fine. You may want to look into getting a lipo shield to insure you don't over discharge your batteries since the stock motor does not have built in lvc.

Hi and welcome all that should work out ok if you get one of these balancers you can charge two packs at once
HeliDirect has a huge selection of RC helicopters, helicopter toys and remote control helicopter. Get ultra fast shipping times direct to your door.

you will have to modify it a little to make it work check out my thread and if you need help just ask. I would put Deans plugs on my packs they work better than the ones that they come with.

Out of the two props, what would you think would be the best prop for the setup I'm proposing?

I like that prop too I find that you need many props in this sport each one does different things and you have to try each so you know how it will handle I'm up to 10 so far I wish I knew more about them but I'm learning as I go along. If any one knows of some book or article please let me know.

This is about as deep as I have seen on this forum.

I'm working a couple of props myself-however I have lots to learn.

Finally got my Supervee in the 40 MPH club with a semi-sharp 42x55.

                    Hope this helps.
