SV running slower than usually

Recently installed the new Aquacraft 1800kv motor and new ESC and my SV is running about 10mph or slower. The batteries are fully charged at peak 3800mah, NIMH. Not sure what is causing the problem?

That is a higher KV motor, right? Running the same prop? Perhaps too much load for the nimh? Just shots in the dark here.

Could be the motor but you should check the obvious first. Since you installed a new motor is the coupler set screw tight? How well does it clamp on the flex shaft? Did you lube the flex? Is the angle of the flex going into the coupler like before? The issue could be with your driveline and have nothing to do with the motor. There should be a slight gap between the drive dog and the end of the stinger too.
