Wont really do anything but add weight. Strength comes from the fabric cloth, not the resin/ epoxy. So really you arent doing anything without some type of cloth.
A v hull is very simple to reinforce. You can even do it without removing the stringers if you really wanted to. But I would remove and re-install, perhaps existing if you can get them out w/ out damage. Othewise you can make new very easily.
Walley world has 6 or 8 oz cloth in the auto section cheap. One layer of this will add a good amount of stiffening with little weight. scrape the epoxy down...little is bettter.
