Problems arming ESC with a Spektrum DX3S SR300

Is anyone running a stock SV27 ESC with a new Spektrum DX3s and SR300?
I spent 3 hours last night trying to arm it.

I have set the BRAKE value on the transmitter to 0%.
When I power up the stock ESC, it beeps continuously until I give it full forward throttle, then it beeps once.
When I return it to neutral, nothing happens.
If I give it full reverse, it beeps once.
    Return to neutral, nothing happens.
Give it full throttle again and it beeps 3 times.
When I let off the throttle the motor starts spinning. I have to give it full throttle to get it to stop.
I have tried reversing the throttle settings but no luck.
As soon I power off the ESC and power it back up it starts beeping all over again.
Steering works as soon as I power it up.

    I'm thinking it's a throttle trim setting.
    Thanks,
    Tom

You need to rearm the ESC with that receiver. Make sure your radio trims are set to neutral and the travel adjustments are 100%. The process is covered in the maunal but here it is again:

    1. Turn the power “ON” to the transmitter.
❏ 2. Plug the batteries into the speed control plugs and listen
    for a single beep >BEEP<
❏ 3. Pull the throttle trigger to full throttle and hold until you
    hear one (1) beep. >BEEP<
❏ 4. Release the trigger and you will hear five (5) more evenly
    spaced short beeps. >BEEP<>BEEP<>BEEP<>BEEP<>BEEP<
Your motor is now armed and ready for operation.
If the system does not arm and follow the sound sequence
above, unplug the batteries and change the position of the
throttle reversing switch. Switch TH.REV on the transmitter
    and start the process over.
Slowly advance the throttle to check proper operation of the
motor. If the propeller turns the wrong way switch any two
(2), of the three (3) motor connector leads to change the
direction of the motor. Avoid holding the throttle wide open
for any length of time with the boat out of the water.
Check the direction of the rudder. Standing behind the boat
rotate the steering wheel to the left. The trailing edge of the
rudder should move towards the left. Move the wheel to the
right. The rudder should move towards the right. If this is not
the case, you will need to reverse the direction of the servo
on your transmitter using switch ST.REV.

Rearm with the stock SV receiver?

Got this back from Hobbico support:
"Unfortunately, we have never tested our products with Spektrum radios. If it is not a compatibility issue, it may be a throttle trim issue, it is trying to find the neutral position."

I haven't tested using the SR300 RX, but I have used my DX3S with MR3000 and SR3100 Rxs without any issues. Can't recall having any arming trouble.

          Finally got it.
          Set Servo Reverse = NORM
          TH Trim = B2
I had to change the TH Trim one step at a time, each time you have to unplug the batteries to reset the ESC. It seems I will have to arm it each time I plug the batteries in.
I'll test the range this weekend.

I had the same problem. And yes you need to arm the esc each time you connect the batts.

I looked at mine tonight and I did have to mess with the settings.

Set the "travel" to 130F and 130B.

Set the TH trim to B20.

Should work like that. Sounds like you may have found that out yourself.

Sorry for the delay in response.

              Hope this works for you.

I had a heck of a time linking to my 4pk today. I still don't have it completely figured out. I have to plug it in, they reverse the throttle. weird but it works.

I find if you set your brake trim to 25-30 and your throttle high point to 120 it will set try it and let me know?
